A Short Affair Showcase #2: Ben Okri, live at White City House

Pin Drop is thrilled to present Booker Prize-winning author and poet, Ben Okri, at our first event at White City House.
Okri will appear to give the first live reading of his new short story, The Lighting of the Lamp, written especially for Pin Drop’s upcoming anthology of original short fiction, A Short Affair

Okri, is a bestselling author of eight novels including The Famished Road, which was awarded the Man Booker Prize, and Starbook, as well as collections of poetry, short stories and essays. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and has been awarded the OBE as well as numerous international prizes, including the Commonwealth Writers Prize for Africa, the Aga Khan Prize for Fiction and the Chianti Rufino-Antico Fattore. He is a Vice-President of the English Centre of International PEN and was presented with a Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum.

The evening will feature a conversation with Pin Drop founder, Simon Oldfield and an audience Q&A and will conclude with a book signing. Copies of A Short Affair will be available to purchase at this event.
