Francesca Segal & Elizabeth Day at Wilderness Festival

Pin Drop was delighted to be invited to join the line up for Wilderness Festival against the backdrop of the glorious Oxfordshire countryside. Our Co-founder, the critically-acclaimed author and journalist, Elizabeth Day, took the stage with the award-winning author, Francesca Segal.
Elizabeth Day’s critically-acclaimed debut novel Scissors Paper Stone won a Betty Trask Award for first novels written by authors under the age of 35. Her second novel Home Fires, received widespread praise and was followed in May 2015 by, Paradise City, described by William Boyd as an “acutely observed and insightful portrait of contemporary urban life. Audacious, funny and shrewdly telling – written with tremendous confidence and brio”.
Francesca Segal won the Costa First Novel Award and the 2012 National Jewish Book Award for fiction for her startlingly beautiful debut, The Innocents. The Observer commented, “The Innocents is compelling and Segal writes with an understated elegance”.
