Scribble, scribble, scribble! The RA & Pin Drop Short Story Award 2018 is now open for submissions.
Submit your story now for an opportunity to win the RA & Pin Drop Short Story Award; an annual non-profit, open-submission writing prize, staged by Pin Drop in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts. The winning story will receive a prize of £500 and be narrated live by a leading actor at a special event held at the Royal Academy of Arts, which will be recorded to join our prestigious podcast series.
Now in its fourth year, the award offers a platform for new writing open to published and unpublished writers from anywhere across the globe to showcase their short fiction. It has discovered new voices with verve and confidence. Past winners include Bethan Roberts, Claire Fuller and Cherise Saywell for their extraordinary stories, which have been narrated for our podcast series here by Stephen Fry, Juliet Stevenson and Dame Penelope Wilton.
The judging panel includes Pin Drop Founders, Elizabeth Day and Simon Oldfield, and the Royal Academy Art’s Artistic Director, Tim Marlow.
The deadline for entries has been extended to 6pm on Monday 30th April 2018.
